Kimberly Waldon, a native of Detroit, MI, resides in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is married to Pastor Ronald P. Waldon, Jr. and proud mother of Ronald P. Waldon, III, a graduate of East Carolina University, Greenville, NC.
Kimberly began her ministry journey and served as Youth Director at New Liberty Baptist Church, Detroit, MI (1996-2006) and Youth Ministry Director at Macedonia New Life Church, Raleigh, NC (2006-2009). In 2010, Kimberly had the awesome opportunity to serve as the Lecturer for the Children’s Department at the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education in Houston, TX. In addition to service at her local church Kimberly served as a children and youth instructor at the District, State, and National Baptist Congress levels.
In September 2011, Kimberly accepted the call to the ministry and preached her Licensed Message on October 6, 2013. Kimberly was ordained in November 2018. She currently serves as an Associate Minister; Christian Education Director; “Sisters of Faith” Women Ministry Director; mentor for “Daughters of Faith” Pre-teen and Teen girls ministry at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church in Durham, NC. In addition, she served in Leadership for Bible Study Fellowship (2012- 2013); and active member of the Raleigh and Vicinity Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Association. Kimberly served as the Board Directors Chair for the New Home and Durham Missionary Baptist Association, Inc. (NH&DMBA) in Durham, NC. On September 22, 2018, she was elected by majority vote to serve as the Moderator of NH&DMBA. She is the first female elected to serve as Moderator for this district association.
Kimberly graduated from Madonna University (Livonia Michigan) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She earned her Master of Science degree in International Administration from Central Michigan University (Mt. Pleasant, Michigan) in May 2004. In May 2019, she earned her Master of Divinity degree from Shaw University Divinity School, Raleigh, North Carolina.
Kimberly is a woman with a heart for God and leading God’s people through the Spirit towards spiritual formation and transformation.
