Kimberly Anne Waldon

Kimberly Waldon, a native of Detroit, MI and daughter of Robert and Elnora Nesbitt, began ministry in the Youth Department at New Liberty Baptist Church in 1996.  She and her husband, Rev. Ronald Waldon served as the ministry leaders.  Her pastor, Rev. Dr. Joe L. Stevenson, appointed Kimberly Youth Director.  Ministries at New Liberty enhanced and expanded to include Youth Worship Hour, youth lock-ins, Spring Break camps, youth prayer and bicycle marches, and Juneteenth celebrations.

In addition to her service at her local church, Kimberly has served as a children and youth instructor at the district and state level.  She has served at the Michigan District Baptist Association & Congress of Christian Education, Prospect District Baptist Association & Congress of Christian Education, and the B.M.& E. State Congress of Christian Education Youth Auxiliary.

In May 2004, Kimberly was appointed Youth Director of the Prospect District Baptist Association, a collaboration of 23 Baptist churches in the metro Detroit area.  As Youth Director, Kimberly had the responsibility of nearly 60 children and youth ages 3-17.  She also had the responsibility of overseeing and coordinating all functions and activities of the Prospect District Youth Ministry.  The ministry included Youth Praise Team, choir, MIME ministry, dance ministry, and missionary endeavors.  This privilege also granted Kimberly the opportunity to mentor and train children and youth.

In 2006, Kimberly and her family relocated to Raleigh, NC to pursue a ministry call at Macedonia New Life Church.  Her husband was appointed Youth Pastor and Kimberly was appointed Associate Youth Ministry Director.  Since, many children and youth ministries have been birthed to include youth praise team, puppet ministry, clown ministry, MIME ministry and step ministry.

Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Madonna University, Livonia, Michigan in 1990.  She earned her Master of Science degree from Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan in 2004.

Kimberly is married to Rev. Ronald Waldon, Jr. They are the proud parents of one son, Ronald Waldon III.  Kimberly's key medicine for physical, mental, and spiritual strength comes from Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who give me strength."
